Staying Connected Makes You Stronger

Your social health is as important as your physical health.

Everyone needs social connections to thrive. As we age, we’re likely to spend more time alone. But too much alone time isn’t good for your health.

People who maintain strong social connections are more likely to live longer, healthier lives.

Staying connected can help you:

  • Boost your mood
  • Strengthen your immune system
  • Find your sense of purpose and belonging
  • Reduce health risks like anxiety, depression, dementia or heart disease
  • Stay independent

Connecting with us can lead to positive changes that enrich your life.

You’re Not Alone

We’re here for you today!

Loneliness is a natural feeling that happens when you crave more connection. Social isolation happens when you start to have fewer interactions with others.

It’s possible to live alone and not feel lonely or socially isolated. And it’s possible to live with other people and still feel lonely.

You’re more likely to experience loneliness or social isolation if you:

  • Live alone or can’t leave your home
  • Are estranged, separated, or disconnected from family and friends
  • Are a caregiver for a spouse
  • Have depression, anxiety, or dementia
  • Recently had a major loss, such as the death of a partner
  • Have trouble hearing, seeing, or getting around
  • Lack a sense of purpose or social support

Experiences like these can put you at greater risk of serious health problems like heart disease, depression, and cognitive decline.

If you’re going through anything like this or just generally feeling down, don’t carry that weight alone. Call us at 1-800-282-7035.

If you’re experiencing a mental health emergency, please dial 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline anytime, 24/7.

Don’t Wait to Reach Out

You don’t have to manage everything on your own.

Have you ever talked yourself out of connecting with someone else?

  • I don’t want anyone to know I’m struggling
  • I can handle this on my own

  • I can’t count on anyone

We all benefit from meaningful connections. And that’s exactly why this support line exists!

If you don’t have someone in your life that you can connect with today, give us a call. We’d be honored to meet you, hear your story, and be there for you.
